Mt. Rainier, Day 2

We were up and headed out of camp by 12:30am. The stars were amazing! And you could see city lights from what I assume was Yakima. We were the second group to get started, meaning we didn't have to wait behind the endless numbers of rope teams. At the top of Disapointment Cleaver, one of our group was feeling very sick, and I was feeling a little sketched out by the 50+ mph wind gusts. One of the leaders was gracious enough to bring us back down while the rest of the group continued on. John made it! Sounds like the summit was even windier and colder than the rest of the mountain. Way to go John!!
